I am having problems with my e brake. the light comes on when i start the car (so i know it works) but when i pull it up the light does not come on. the brake does work when i pull up on it, i dont know how well but it will stop the car after a few seconds. i recently took my car to midas to have them check to see if i needed to have my brakes replaced and they said only the front needed to be done. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong?

 

take off the center console and try tightening the screws for the e-brake
