Stupid Distributor
Ok, I wreck my 93 del Sol like a month and a half ago. It took for ever to get the parts to fix so it just sat on the hill. My stupid ass forgets to go crank it alteast once a week so the cap and rotary corrodes on me. I get new ones, and i put them on. Now I'm getting no fire at all. It was pumping out juice just 2 days ago, what the hell is my problem?
Thanks,
Lambert

ok make sure you are getting spark... You need three things for startup, SPARK, FUEL, and AIR...
To check spark, take off one of your plug wires, but leave one end plugged into the distributor... Pull the plug and put it into the end of the plug wire... hold it as close as you can to the engine block with out having it touch and have a friend crank over the engine... you should see an arc from the plug to the block... do this with every plug wire...
To check fuel, find your fuel filter which should be a short little cylinder shaped thing on the passenger side of the firewall under the hood... You can find it by tracing the fuel line coming off of your fuel rail... loosen the fitting on top of the filter that has a line coming through the firewall, this is the supply line... have a friend crank the engine over and loosen the fitting a little more... you should see a generous amount of fuel spilling out...
Air is the easiest to check, just take off your intake and make sure your butterfly is closed and it moves freely...
Also check your battery and ground wires...
