Default -ls crank in gsr block???

-i got a 95 ls...crashed, and broke tha head...i bought a 00' b16 head....and my boy was telling me to put the ls crank inside of my old 95 gsr block, with tha ls crank/rods, and II Gen b16 pistons....and it will run jus like a ls-vtec but more reliable.....my question is....how true is this, or is it better to jus throw tha head on the ls bottom and call it a day...( i know i have to balance the crank wen i change it into the gsr block)

the advantage to this is you have the stock gsr girdle and the oil squirters to help cool the pistons.

If you are planning on an engine that turns 8k RPMs, look into aftermarket B18A/B rods to use with the B18B crank. At very least use ARP rod bolts for the stock rods.

If you already have a full GSR block, use it whole. I see no point in putting an LS crank in.

If you already have an LS block, I'd mod it up rather than buying a new engine.
