Default Kill switch

I put a kill switch on my ek yesterday. I put it on the yellow wire with the green stripe. It works and everything, but I don't know what the wire is. I was shooting for the fuel pump, but it doesn't feel like the fuel pump... So can anyone tell me what that wire is, and if its ok to have a switch on it. Thanx

It's the ICM signal.

I can't believe you would tap into a wire that you had no idea what it did. Pure brilliance there.

Lol, you're right, that was a dumbass move... But I thought it was the fuel pump, and I could always reconnect it. So what does the ICM signal wire do?
Thanx Schmoo

It regulates spark. Since it is being shut off, the car will naturally die instantly. The ICM is probably a better idea because the car will still run for a few seconds with the fuel pump cut off, but the ICM makes it die right away.

If the car is originally turned off, then you're not even going to be able to start it are you? With the fuel pump it will start and run for 2 secs and then die. I'd say install both switches, can never be too safe. Never thought about this ICM kill switch, but it's too late anyway.

Yea with the fuel pump it will run a while, and you can start it up... We tested my friends g2, the cut the fuel and it ran for 4 secs floored... Im glad to know that I got lucky and the ICM works out better, but i'll probably put one onto the fuel pump too
