Default How to do a compression test on D16Y8?

Hi all,

I have never done a compression test before and just wanted to be sure I am doing the right stuff. Does this seem like the right things to do before doing the compression test:

1. disconnect the fuel pump fuse under the hood , located next to the battery
( I suppose this is the PGM-FI fuse?)

2. disconnect the electrical connector right next to the distributor

Did I miss anything else?

Thanks for any input...

I've never actually done one myself (I need to buy myself a tester) but based on what I've read in the past, you'll want to remove all the plugs (it's just easier on the starter to not actually have to compress air in the cylinders your not testing) and you want to floor the throttle while your doing the test (you want the TB wide open so there is air available to compress). Hopefully someone else will have some more hints for you.
