Default Blown head basket

I think i blew the head gasket. The thing is the car still runs, crapy. My dumb ass friend was driving in the mountains, on like 4x4 roads and up hills and it overheated, and died, a horse melted. Ij ust got an oil change yet it was at the bar minume marker. So i added 1 qt. I towed it to the mechanic, There finally started, he looks at it and says it runs by i think the motor is shot. I ind im able to start it if i have the pedal all the way down and it runs slow. And wil die and possible not start if the RPMS go below 1000. My friend thinks it just the distributer. COuld oil leaking into the distributer cause this to happen? maybe it got so thick in there that it bogs down the engine. Do you think the car would run if the egine was fucked up?

Yes, the motor will still run with a lot of problems. I've driven them home with burnt valves, blown headgaskets, bad rings etc.

You can check the distributor by pulling off the cap.

Was a compression or leakdown test done? Are you loosing any coolant, overheating or mixing coolant with oil?

sounds like your looking at loss of compression as well as possible bearing failure. You won't know what all is wrong till u get it tore down.

please tell me you speak english as a second language and the above is just an example of a poor grasp on the language. If its not a second language you need to seriusly take 5 minutes and try to spell at least the simple crap right because answering a question when its written in jibberish is kinda annoying
