Default 95 civic HELP!

ok heres what the deal is. I will turn my car all the way to the dashes before actual ignition and everything turn on like normal and then i try to start my car and my motor wont even crank like it sounds like it'll just blow a fuse or something but I am able to jump my car without a problem and it'll run until i turn my car off? Bad alternator? PLEASE HELP!!

PS. Just had battery and alt. checked both are good. Lookin at a short in the sytem prolly.

Does sound like a bad alternator. Very easy to check - take it to most auto parts places and they can tell you right away. It may be working, but not good enough to keep the battery charged.

Disconnect the battery while the car is running (use gloves!). If it dies, the alternator is bad.

You may have a draw (short) somewhere that is killing your battery, or you need a new battery. Have that checked too.

IF battery and alternator check out ok, have them look at the current the starter is pulley, a possibility is it's bad and pulling too much for the tiny little battery that's in our civics.
