Default a/c woes

allright honda freaks. I have a 93 civic witha 1.5. i have a/c problems, sometimes the compressor kicks in and sometimes it don't. i have basically redone the whole system and replaced the drier and compressor. i also replaced the binary switch and the system worked fine. now the compressor and the condensor fan won't come on, but when i check the binary switch with the test light the fan and the clutch kick in. i thought it might have been a bad ground but when i redid the ground, it still wouldn't work. anyone have any ideas before i have to take it to the garage??????

Take the AC & PS out and run a CTR N1 Crank Pulley. I live in FL and I took mine out.

Are High Side pressures good? If your expansion valve is freaking out, couldn't it be the culprit? If the valve won't let liquid through, then pressures go up and switch keeps system from coming on?

Just a thought.

where might the little culprit, the expansion valve be located? is it under the dash with the evap core? don't see it in the engine compartment.

if it's the expansion valve it won't keep it from turning on junst no cold air! it's in the evaperator unit. and be careful of the test light as they are not the safest things to use on modern cars.

Check to see if the pressure in the line is high/low.
