Default Wat shuld i get for my civic?

Ok i made a post yesterday about speed and whatnot for my 98 civic lx i just got.
As of now, im just going to get the cold air intake to help wit gas and mab get some more ponies.
Now for my next idea, what to get for it to make it look good?
Now remeber im 16, so money is an issue.
So far as of now, in going to tint the windows black and get a system. My friends has 2 10" MA audio subs 350~ rms and they kick ass!... im leaning toward those.. good choice?
What shuld i get for a system and nythign else for the car i shuld get.. mayb a spoiler or something?
Thanks.

save up a few bucks for some decent rims(don't go bigger than 16) and lowering springs. Lower control arms for the bling factor. That would look nice. A stock engine civic isn't fast by any strech of the imagination but it can be super fun in the twisties. There are some good springs out there I just can't think of the names right now. Pair a moderate drop with some KYB GR-2 or better yet AGX shocks and maybe swaybars. Do that and the car will be alot of fun to drive and it can be done on a budget. Very few people in this forum care for appearance mods. If you like them that's cool. But unless you can spend alot of money on them don't bother because it will just look like cheap garbage. If you do get a spoiler don't get a huge one and get it painted to match the car.

I always heard that spoilers hinder performance in a front-drive car, like the civic, and actually decreases the downforce when it propels itself with only the front two wheels. Is this true?

Depends... OEM parts sometimes add but the difference is somewhat minimal. And the only example I can think of when OEM lip kits actually do it is in the integra type rs
