Default tranny question

When i have it in gear expecially the low gears as opposed to neutral it has a rough sound like a bearing or somthing is ready to go. When I engage the clutch it quiets down. Maybe I never noticed this sound in the first place when I bought the car but is this normal? It know this is very vague but, its all I can say.

It is a bearing - maybe two in the transmission. I had had a bearing of mine replaced yesterday and it had the same symptoms. It sounds, and works, perfect now. However that is not a lot of miles for it to wear out in - Mine had 250K KMs

Could also be the throw out bearing for the clutch.

I really thought that was my problem, since when I depressed the clutch it went away, but it was one of the main bearings in the tranny. Took mine to the dealer to be sure, only cost $100 (including bearing, changing it, and a motor oil change)... beats replacing the whole transmission.

I forgot to mention that my throwout bearing if that is it is really bad that whe i do press in the clutch it makes a loud squeak thats very unbarable at times. Could that also affect it?
