Default Seized O2 Sensor.

I tried getting it off with my 3/8" socket; wouldn't come off.

Sprayed some "liquid wrench" on it and tried again with the 3/8".

Sprayed some more "liquid wrench" on it and tried a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter and a 1/2 wrench (very hard to get to fit in the engine compartment BTW).

All to no avail!

Sprayed a very liberal amount of Liquid Wrench on it and trying it in the morning with more light... Maybe I can use my torque wrench as a breaker bar.

Any help/advice?

The small engine comartment is really starting to piss me off. I'm dreadfully afraid of stripping the O2 sensor and never being able to get it out. SHIT

This might be a little silly, but are you turning to the left?

I had a friend that had a similar situation and the whole time he was tightening it rather than loosening. h:

cut the wire

deep well impact socket

1000 lbs. of "nut busting torque" from a nice ingersol rand

bye bye 02 sensor! FTW! h:

*edit DO NOT EVER USE your torque wrench to brake things loose, you will never get perfectly accurate reedings again! Use a true braker bar.

I've decided to take the car into the shop. I had someone take a look at it (with more experience than me) and he said that it's seized on so tight doesn't think it'll come off with out taking the exaust manifold off.

Should I make a write up on this (testing and removing) up to where I got?

I had to take mine to a muffler shop to get it off. They took a torch to it, and it actually took him like 15 mins. to get it off. He didn't cut it off, just needed heat to get the farker off.
