Default Need advice on all motor...

I'm new to the site, but I've been looking through the threads, and the advice here is got one of the best around.I just got a Civic Si 2000 with about 100k on the car and just wanted some advice on building a all motor b16.Nothing crazy, but something that can do low 14 or high 13;and if I decide 2 go with force induction, most likely I would like 2 supercharge it,so,how would that work with my stock engine?Any help would be appreciated.

Ls/vtec or Cr/vtec with internal/head work done is about the only way to go....

A supercharged B16 is alright, but doesn't make efficient power compared to turbo :hs:

So Ls/Vtec is better than straight up B-series?

stroker kit for B16a? "You cant fit 20lbs. of sh#t into a 10lb. bag"
The stroke of the B16a is near perfect, however it lacks torque.
You cant build a motor to be NA and then convert it to FI, unless you have lots of money and want to build your motor twice, choose one or the other and build that.
a B20/vtec has proven to be the most HP and torque to be pulled out of a NA B series. Endyn gets 300+hp from their civic and torque numbers to match, still has the factory A/C too.

So other than a swap, boost would be the way to go?How bad does it afect the engine?

dont know,
never boosted an engine, I once owned a factory turbo car but it was designed from the factory to be turbo and had a full warranty. I think theres more than enough info already posted on turboing your B series here.

I just got a hatch with a B16a2 in it. It has SK2S2 cams and stuff, but Ihave built my all motor B16 CRX and in my opinion ALL MOTOR is great, it jsut has that feeling. But turboing it would be the way to go. I have seen 295 HP out of a completly stock B16a motor with SK2 intake manifold, and throttlebody. I am going to turbo this B16 in this hatch, and I am going to jsut upgrade the internals, and boost it. It will make 300 HP without blowing up. I am goign to tune with hondata s300. Here is the site on my car and what I didnt to it. I built the engine myself. Omniman made a whole 2 disc DVD on building a Stock block stock piston 200HP Street B16. He did it with a B16a1 block too, thats a 14 year old block, if he can do it, anyone can do it. Keep in mind he never honed the cylinder walls either. He did the whole thing in his garage except for the exhuast and the tuning.

Thats my 2 cents.
