Default Im Having Some Car Troubles....

Hey, i have a 00 civic ek. Its making this rattling noise in the front of the car. Anyone know what it could be? Sounds like pipes rattling. Anyone with some help would be great. thanks

may be the heat shield is lose

maybe one of the rubber bushings for youe exhaust is wore out, allowing the exhaust to rattle against the bottom of the car

I would guess heat shield.

Try jerking the steering wheel back and forth. Do you hear anything? Jack the car up and grab ahold of stuff and shke it.

I just had that happen to my 99 si. It was the heat shields that were loose.

Oh ok, so where is the heat shield exactly located? Im a noob yes.

There are 1-2 on most cars.

The one that usually rattles is right by the drive shafts on Hondas. Sort of around the gear shifter. You might have to bend it downwards only 1-2mm. It's not much.
