He is saying that he wouldnt waste his time lightening a stock flywheel when there is plenty of aftermarket companies that make them. Now if there were no aftermarket comanies making them then that leaves you one choice and that is to lighten you stock one.

I got mine done for $30. I didn't want an 8lbs. flywheel. I live in L.A. and will do a lot of shifting, so I didn't know of anyone making one between 12-14lbs. I spent another $10 on getting it grinded, so $40 to get one hooked up seemed like a good deal.

I thought that's what he was saying. Huge difference in price, no? Trying to stay safe while sticking to a budget.

You should be fine with your flywheel where its at. Ive got a fidanza 7lb on mine, its great, really makes the upper RPMS more accessible, which will be nice once i bolt this new kit on.

I also got the Fidanza (clutchmasters) I like it but it sometimes chatters in stop n go traffic. When I first installed it I noticed a big difference in acceleration, but that was 2 years ago so Ive become used to it and it seems quite normal these days.

I guess it's like going from cross-country skiing to downhill. I grew up skiing, so it makes sense to me. Quicker shifts in shorter spurts. I already have the Si tranny, so the gears are shorter.

Thanks for the word of confidence. I'll have much to report.
