fuel pump trouble
Sometimes my car will start and sometimes it wont. It depends on if the fuel pump decides to start or not.(I just replaced it last week BTW) When I turn the key I can sometimes hear the fuel pump hum and then other times it just wont and my car wont start. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this? Oh yea, and I did the ECU test last week and it gave me a code 10 so I changed out the IAT sensor, now when I reset it it gave me a code 1 O2, but this wouldnt cause my fuel pump to start just sometimes would it? thanks for any help.

Most likely the main relay. I'm not sure how hot it gets where you live but during the summer time, or in the winter when the heat is cranked the solder joints on the man relay and give out and sometimes a connection won't be made.

yeah Ive heard about that.....this is getting on my nerves. Am I supposed to hear a click after the engine light turns off when I turn it over the 2nd time? Im not sure of what the click will sound like...are the relays expensive? Ive also heard it could be the igniter or coil...

i have had cars that do run that i never heard the "click". i do always wait for the fuel pump to prime. if you dont hear the "badur-chik" (fuel pump priming noise) then my first guess would be main relay. second guess bad ground or ecus..third guess...fuel pump.
