Default Question about Timing

I was wondering if anyone knows how to change your timing through the distribitor. What should I do (advance or retard) for maximum perforomance. What are the drawbacks?? Any help is appreciated.

IF you have any mods done to it at all, the best thing you can do is retard it a hair. THe only reason is because peoplet hing swinging it in advance it will give more performance, but when you do that, you get into higher rpm's it is so advance it is almost firing onto the next cylinder. Don't advance it, get hondata and elt someone dynotune it.
