Default Tires

Any one have recommendations on some good overall daily driver tires? I currently have Falkens and they suck. Cost isn't an issue, I just want something that performs great in a daily driver situation. Thanks.

yokohama avs es100, kumholio 712 for the cheapy MX for the grip, BFG KD/KDW if you're a baller.

What Falkens do you have, and what do you not like about them?

the falken ziex 512 were rated #1 by consumer reports and alot of good review on it by members here. is that the one you have?

what kind of tires do you want? long term passenger, performance, high performance, etc?

I just bought some performance tires (BF Goodrich Traction T/A H) at sears. They seem to have good reviews and was on sale at sears this past week. 60k Warranty too. I'll tell you how they ride when i get more miles on them.

If your looking for something inexpensive but a little sporty and long lasting then I would recommend Discount Tires 'Warriors'. They are one of their cheapest and I've got them on my son's 95 civic and he has already put 40k on them and they have plenty left. They are a little noisier than "nice" tires but he loves them and he still believes that corners should be taken as fast as possible.

I was thinking about picking up a set of Toyo Proxes 4. I've heard that it performs pretty well with pretty good treadlife.

I have these on my 00 Civic Si since November 2004. Put about 25,000 miles on them and they are 1/2 worn (down to 5mm). Which is pretty awesome for a tire.

They actually stick very well too. Snow traction is ok.
