hey everyone let me know what engine i should look into for my sol,
The h22 or h23
h22......190-200Hp, 158 ft-lbs, VTEC
h23......160hp, 156 ft-lbs, NONVTEC
which do you peoples think would be a better swap, or should i build a frankstien?
The only thing i dont like about the H23 is it isnt a vtec, better it is better for a turbo.

Just get the h22 then you can turbo it down the line.

If your stuck on a H series, i would say which ever you come across first for the best deal. Both will be a pretty good platform for boost when your ready for it.

 

VTEC won't really mean much with the turbo. All that really matters is the big displacement in the 2.2 and 2.3.

 

Not to thread jack but What does it take to do a h23 block with a h22 head? I asked this in the prelude section but no one posted any good info.

 

Im guessing its just like LS/Vtec but with a H motor intstead of a B. or you can buy the H23 Vtec motor.
