Default Whats up with this??

Scenario:
I have a 94 Civic EX(MT) and my gf has a 98 Civic DX(AT). I have an intake and exhaust. We were both dead stop at a redlight and we both took off. I was flooring it and shifting @ like 5600-6000K. I got ahead of her thru 1st and 2nd gear. By the time I got to 3rd, she just flew past me w/an auto, stock, and nonvtec d15?? DX motor at that.
I am like WTF??? I just got the car a few months back. I have a code 41. Is that harming my stock performance right now? Also my car backfires between shifts.
I have yet to change: plugs, wires, sythetic oil/oil filter, fuel inj. cleaner, and fuel filter.
Any ideas??? I am working towards an LS swap w/turbo by the end of this year. I just wanna know whats up with my EX vs. her DX. Shouldnt the EX win hands down??

Code 41 is for the 02 sensor. With this code your fuel mixture is probably out of wack, and hindering performance. Besides that the 2 cars are within 20 hp of each other. How much more do you weigh than her?

twice as much. she has 2 10s in her trunk also. The problem with the CEL is i cant hookup the o2. (I'ma try to get this str8): the o2 sensor is a 4 wire connector i guess, and the wire that i guess needs to be plugged up is a 1 wire. i will take pics. Before i bought the car, the guy just replaced his old motor with a j/y engine. The engine is a vtec d16z6 engine, but i don't know why the o2 connectors are different? will it be hard to splice and run the extra wires if i have to? if so, how??

if it's a one wire coming from the harness, that should be a cx harness, not an ex one.

If you have a P28 ECU you can just run the wires to the correct pins on at the ECU connector

your car runs like crap, I'm assuming thats why its slower than it should be. If you're swapping, go ahead and don't bother fixing it... just be sure to let the motor's new owner know exactly what it needs.

To post a picture, make a reply (or if you use the quick reply box, hit "go advanced," then go down to "manage attachments" and select a picture by browsing. Then click "upload." It will now be a little thumbnail on your post. If you want to post the full pic in the body of your post, right click on the file "ready to upload" and select properties, then copy and paste the URL (http://h-a.net/atachment./solfdslhaslfhadhfswhatever). Pase that URL into the body of your post and surround it by [im.g] and [/im.g] (only without the ".") and it will show up in your post.
