Default CO2 sprayer

i've been doing some reserch/thinking :hsughr: about co2 sprayers and wondering first what people here think about them
and i've been thinking about making my own w/ a ten dollar co2 bottle a valve and some straps nothing really fancy but also wondering if i should run it on the intercooler or the pipes that go after the intercooler
the reason i like the idea is because it cools your air before it goes into the motor and when tuning it may help take out factors like heat and i'm pretty sure the humidity is taken out by the turbo because it runs hot before air goes into it
so was wondering what people thought of it and has anyone made one themself looked on homemadeturbo.com and no links for it and most links i found on internet were from the srt's and evo sites and i don't trust people that don't build their own cars:down:

Some dude with an STI had his girlfriend spray his intercooler down with a CO2 fire extinguisher after he staged at the strip. Pretty nifty idea.

i dunno. it seems to me that it's kind of a waste. all the extra parts, plus the weight... for the small amount of power you MIGHT gain. making it 5 degrees cooler isn't really worth the time, money, or energy IMO. not to mention... it most likely will not boost the hp numbers enough to really override the weight gain. i've been curious about those things too... this is juss my two cents

no the weight gain is very little the co2 tank is lk less then 3 pounds the parts are very little amount and if i really did my homework i could figure out how to use the little ones that are used for pellet guns i just don't know enough about the co2 tanks so i found the ten dollar one that is refillable and i know i can find a valve for it and just unscrew the valve before i race even if i get maybe 5hp out of it still overrides the less then 3 pounds i added to it

id just get a direct port setup or wet shot. intercooler sprayers have proven to work, but for a street car u can improve in other areas that would be more beneficial, such as an LSD or traction bars. intercooler setups and nitrous setups on turbo cars are just extra frosting on the cake. make the car strong and a good all around car.
