Default Turbo Downpipe Installation Problem

Hi Everyone,

Me and my cousin are in the process of installing a t3 t4 turbo on his del sol. It hasn't been a smooth process so far. The problem we are encountering now is when we attempt to install the downpipe it hits the oil pan so that we can not line up the bolt holes on the exhaust port of the turbo. When you look at the turbo(standing at the front of the car) the exhaust port faces the right/ driver's side. We bought on of those $225 special flex tube down pipes off ebay that are made for this sort of thing. Unfortunately the flex portion of the tube hits the oil pan. We tried beatin the crap out of the pan but no dice. He's prolly going to have to buy a new one now. Is there a special oil pan you can buy? Any suggestions would help.

I know, but my cousin is stubborn as hell and doesn't always think.

You are going to have to have it extended so it clears the oil pan.

I bet you got the same one as I did for my d16z6. Like previously stated cut/weld. I had to cut the flanges off and actually shorten the pipe for mine to fit. But every setup is just a little different.
