Somethin' tells me you don't want to talk about the intercooler pipes. It's okay, I know it's probably a sore topic, I'm just busting your chops. They are usually the biggest pain of every build.

I think polished pipes would be the crowning touch in that candy-matched engine bay. Polished pipes would draw loads of attention to that polished head (wow). I know first-hand how much patience it takes to do that. And I know how shitty the aluminum cast is on those distributors, too. That's insanity at its finest. If you did all that polishing, I hope you get your fingerprints back someday, and I hope they find a cure for carpal tunnel syndrome some time before we die.

I'd like to see some pictures of the engine without the flash. Check your PM.

haha hey man.. i've been really busy with everything, i'm actually looking at purchasing a complete polished intercooler piping kit from vecco, out of cleveland ohio. He actually sells them on ebay as well
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I was gonna make them but decided that i wanted perfection when it came to the piping & i didn't want the couplers blowin off & this kit has nice rolled edges & clamps & everything is already done.. so i figured i'll wait a couple weeks till i can afford to spend the cash in between house payments & get the piping right the first time.

yes i did polish the dizzy & the intake mani & the front of the head my self, by hand. i've got probably 80hrs total into the sanding & polishing of engine parts.. i did this over winter in the evenings after work while my wonderful g/f polished & watched movies with me & even helped some times.

All of me went into this car.. i can't express how i feel about the whole project right now.. it's just nice.. & i've cought my self sitting in the garage staring at it for a while the last 2 nights. I've only got a couple more things that i need to finish up to make the cash i need to complete my project. I'm getting my exhaust down pipe made next week & i'll probalby have the rest of the stuff ordered by the end of next week.. then it's tuning time.

jafro thanks for the link to the polish stuff... i'll have to look into it a little more when i can stay awake longer.. i'm goin to bed.. thanks for all the great comments everyone!

looks like a solid build man good job. Are you hoping to get 450 on pump gas? If so id be carefull because youd be walking a fine line, unless of course your one of those lucky bastids who get 100 octane at the pump while the rest of us are stuck with 93

Ehh, we'll see how good it will do on the RC 750's & pump gas.. i've got a wide band in the car so we'll street tune it till it's decent & then take a trip to the dyno to complete the tune.. it's definatly gonna be tuned for pump gas coz i'll be street driving it more than anything. No trailor queen here! Once in a while i'll drive it out to the drag strip for some fun

thanks man!

I'll post some detailed pix up of tonight's wet sanding events. Possibly a little how to info.

It looks like i'll have the rest of the cash for the last couple parts by the end of next week, i'll also be sure to post up the making of my down pipe that will take place next week some time. Computer is being chipped today & basemap will be written. This thing is almost ready to be fired up.
