Default new headers and cat

i just bought a new cat back, well kinda funny story. my exhaust fell off shortly after i bought the car because the previous owner neglected it. well i bought the new cat back and put it on. where the exhaust ripped off was right behind the cat so it left the bolts connected. i cant get the bolts off so i said screw it and now im looking for a new header and catalytic conv. so my question is what all do i need to replace the old header and cat,, do i need a new downpipe or does it come with thte header usually???

Youll have to purchase it seperatly. catco makes nice replacment ones that are already flanged for the aplication, or you can get one off ebay that will still need flanges. The header can be purchased anywhere for anything from 10-800 bucks. I personaly bought a 10 doller header from ebay to give me something to use while i build my next turbo kit, and so far its holding up amazingly well. Just make sure that if you get your cat from ebay that it isnt just a glorified resonator, because your not gonna pass emissions (if you have to) with one of those.

flanges are what allow you bolt the cat up, its the plates on either end that you put the bolts through. If it doesnt come with these flanges, you can go to a local exhaust shop and they can weld some on for you
