Default Power Lock Kits??

Anyone ever try one of those "universal" power lock kits I see on e-bay for like 39 bucks? I have a '97 Civic DX and really miss having power locks. I have also seen universal power window kits. Any luck with those?

instead of doing that what i did was put a Viper alarm on my 97 civic DX and told the guy to put actuators on my doors. So he did...it came out to like $70 bucks per door!

So now i have both alarm and power locks on my car!!convenience at a price!!!!!!

im ok with that, i cant do everything!!!!

I wouldn't trust those kits at all. I would just live with it or buy a car that has the power door locks from the factory. Or you can do what Remy said.

The universals work pretty well. I installed 2 universals on my del sol a little while ago with my viper 791VX alarm and they work fine. i think i payed 30 or 40 a piece from Fry's but Curcuit City sells them too. The main problem with them is the mounting, you need to make sure to mount them well or they will dislodge themselves and you will have to pull your door off again. Honda's are made out of recycled beer cans so make sure you use a bolt and a nut.
