do they make this?
is there an adapter/cable to hook a tv up to a computer through a/v cables? i can't seem to find one and i wanted to watch a movie on my computer through my tv.

This is one I can answer.
I'm assuming you only have onboard VGA and not a video card with S-Video and DVI.
For the VGA part you can probably goto any radioshack and they'll tell you what you need. But for the price you'll pay for the cables and adapters, I'd suggest just buying a new video card, they're easy to put in and you'll probably get a better video quality.
One thing I should point out is that the resolution on a computer monitor is not really the same as what you'll see on a TV. I suggest a lower resolution like 800x600 for a clearer picture.
As for sound. You'll have to use some cable (i've done it before) for that, or just use your computer speakers.
Do plan on spending some money.
