Default Crap...CV Boot Ripped

Me and my buddy where chaging my brake pads todday and he found out that my CV boots on both sides where ripped wide open. Thinking he might be bullsh!ting me I checked and sure enough, ripped wide open, needless to say I have to replace them. I get them done professionally but what am I looking at for repair costs. I'm thinking of having the dealership do it.

Or are they that hard to do? Could I do it myself?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I can do them myself, takes 15 minutes and costs $65 a side. Orrrr..... I can take it to Les Schwab, pay $121 a side and wait 2 hours.

$65? A boot kit from NAPA cost me $12. Of course, this is on a Civic...

It's easier to replace the axle, but if you have the time and patience, I guess you can do just the boot. :dunno:

Well I have simple hand tools and the shop manual so is this possible? Also where's the best place to get the axels?
