Whistling and lower fuel economy than usual
Ok, so here's the deal. The engine makes a whistling noise once in a while (like I have a small turbo, but I don't). I know it's not transmission related because it makes this noise clutch in our out. I've also been getting pretty bad fuel economy the last couple of months (25 mpg or lower). So far, I've replaced the PCV valve, air filter, spark plugs, got an oil change, and checked the tires periodically. I changed the fuel filter in September. My guess is that it's some sort of vacuum line leak, but I have not been able to figure out where the whistling is coming from. Any tips to figure it out?
TIA

Hmmm. If you think it's a vacuum leak, I've heard the way to know is to take carb cleaner, and spray it near vacuum lines. If the idle goes up, you found your exhaust leak. Or is is quick start? I can't remember.
