Does Anyone Know What Wire Is Used As The Antenna For The Keyless Entry?
So Far, I Know Its Somewhere With The Radio. Chiltons IS No Help. And Thats As Far As I Have Gone.

I Need More Than A Car Length Of Distance.
I Saw A Guy Do In On A VW, And He Went From 10 Feet to 400+ Feet Of Distance.

 

well...... i got one of those pager alarms and its rediculous how far away i can be... but both the car and the remote have a beefy antena..... i would try look at remotes first....

 

I Would Have Imagned It Was The Remote/ Battery Etc. But I Had The Key FOB I Got With Teh Car, And I Bought A New One From Honda. And Both Are Teh Same Way.

Oh BTW. Its The Stock Keyless Entry On Teh Car, Not A Aftermarket Alarm

 

i think the newer ones are wired with the antenna on the back window. also why do you want your keyless have a bigger range? i sure don't want to accidently unlock my car when i'm in the mall. i don't see the advantage of doing it.

 

I Just Dont Want To Have To Be Right Infront Of My Car To Lock/Unlock It. A Few Cars Away Would Be Nice.

 

I have a '97 del Sol and while replacing my seats with leather ones this weekend found the keyless remote transmitter. It was a black box with a small antenna attached under the driver's seat. It also had a glass breakage sensitivity adjustment (who know?) and a slide switch with 3 settings marked manual/auto/auto lock. Swithed it from manual to auto lock but haven't noticed a difference.

On another note, my power door locks do not activate automatically when the car starts rolling like my '95 dol did. Anyone know how to activate that.

And lastly, thanks for the info on the mysterious (to me) black "Valet" switch on the left lower dash panel. Will need to find instructions on how to use it now.
