Default del Sol Emissions

How do I tell what emissions spec a '94 del Sol was made to? I have the VIN, but none of the decoders tell me what emissions it is. I didn't see a sticker on the hood when I looked at the car. Its currently registered in CA, so theoretically it should be a CA car. Any ideas?

Also, the carfax on the car doesn't start until 58,000 miles. Is this something to look out for?

No, I was asking how its possible to tell what emissions spec a car was built to. I think on the '94s there was a 49-state version and a CA version; I wanted to know how to tell them apart when looking at a car.

Sorry for the confusion.
