Default vibration shudder problem help me please!!

last night i installed two new axles in my 97 honda civic ex coupe. on my way home i found an amazingly harsh shudder/vibration above 55mph WHILE i am accelerating. its mostly on acceleration, but there is slight shudder while just cruising at speeds above 55mph. i noticed that on the axles i pulled out, they have bushings or weights or something near the center of the axle shaft inbetween the two joints. the ones i put in do not have those bushings. are those dampners for vibration? the axles bolted in perfect, they are the same length, same splines. everything is the same except the bushings, or whatever those things are. has anyone experienced this problem before? any help or advice would be great thanks.
