Installed 255lph fuel pump now my car is in limp mode
Yeah I installed the pump and now I have a solid non-flashing CEL. That's limp mode correct? Does anyone know why?
Ok, well I took it for a test drive to see if it is limp mode and at the bottom of my hill the car died. I started it again and it hits VTEC and everything so it must not be limp? I could have sworn in limp you don't have full power.
A solid non-flashing CEL (when jumped) indicates an ECU problem. Did you chip your ecu yet or anything like that?
Check your fuses maybe. You did disconnect your neg. terminal when installing your fuel pump right?
Also check your grounds.

I really can't think of whats wrong. The pump primes and feeds fuel.
I was told I can put it on now and drive it with my stock ecu and injectors because the remaining fuel would just go back through the fuel return line.

And uh, woops, no I didn't discconnect my negative terminal. The instructions didn't say to. What would this do?
What grounds should I check? The ground on the fuel pump or in the engine bay?
What fuses should I check?
Make the most of a double post.

You should always disconnect the neg. terminal when ever doing anything electrical.
Check fuses to see if you blew any from this.
Was your chipped ECU working before you installed your fuel pump, or did you install the both at the same time?
