Anybody ever had this happen. My coilovers have a bent spring perch. Those 2 little things that spin opposite ways to lower or raise the car. The bottom one is bent. How do i get this off ??? any suggestions cause i'm stuck.

I got 1 good strut on the front and i need to get the other one on... HELP.

 

it bent because it is either a cheap coilover kit.....or you hit a bump really hard. the spring put force on the perch sending one side to bend.

to get it off???? take some sort of cutting tool and have at it. i dont know why you want to take it off though because you dont need to mess with the perch to replace struts.

 

Actually you do.... i had to adjust it so that I could take it off without using spring compressors. Now i have to. Car is off the road now.... till i get some spring compressors. I got the old one out and the new one won't go in.... :-(
