how do i know when to change the rear break drums on my civic?

i havent heard of people changing the drum brakes of the car unless u want to do a conversion.i know that they have to get adjusted every so often,but not changed unless something happened to it!!

Usually it's checked based on the car's mileage. There's a certain amount of material that has to be on the drum.

Drum brakes wear just as disk brakes, although not as often. They will make the same grinding as a worn disk brake, without the squeal indicators..
