Changing front Struts with coilovers
My front struts are GONE! Car bumps like a stagecoach and braking sucks. My abs light is on too. I find myself avoiding ANY irregular surface on the road to try and save my shock towers because when it hits it sounds like somebody hit my car with a hammer. I just bought some KYB GR-2 shocks at NOPI the other day and wanted to put them on myself.
I have coilovers - so there should not be any problems with the springs and tension - because when i lift the car the sprints don't even hit the shock. They just drop down. Can i just unbolt it and slide the other one in - or do i have to take it to somebody?

You can just unbolt and slide the sleeved coilover off including the spring. You will be good. Just make sure not the strip out the allen head on teh top of the strut or you will be in a world of hurt. Best of luck

I don't even remember seeing an allen head. Where can i get bump stops - cause i don't see any on there. Could this have contributed to them wearing out so fast?
