Default civic 1985/86 head exchange leaded vs unleaded petrol

Can someone please give advice.
I have a Honda Civic 1986 12 valve (unleaded head). This was the first of the unleaded series (so I am told).
Can I replace the head with a head from a 1985 Civic that has a leaded head. (having trouble finding a similar head locally). Some say I can, some say I can't.

I have noticed that the 1985 leaded head has more meat around the valve seats and this would reduce the volume of the combustion chamber on TDC. Therefore raising the compression. (so I am told). Will this need to be removed?.

Should I replace the timing belt?
