I drive a 2000 Civic EX, OBD2B D16Y8 engine right now, swapping out for a 2nd gen B16A complete. The engine is OBD1, which will require me to use a jumper harness for the ecu to work, but what other things should I look out for electronically, I heard the dizzy connectors are different, which shouldnt be too hard with a soldering iron. Is there anything I'm missing? I've got the obvious, stuff like the ECU of course, and as far as I know, the engine im getting has the engine side of the harness, with all the plugs, please let me know what I should look out for.

if the engine that you are getting is all JDM includeing the harness it will not be able to be used in youir USDM car since it is backwards. I bought a harness off ebay for $60 and it was in excellent condition so thats what i suggest.

 

Look up the info yourself...this swap has been done many times so there is enough info out there for you to read up on.
