Knock Sensor?
When knocking occurs, the weight in the cylinder case moves, causing the piezo electric element in the KS to translate the vibration into an electric voltage. A signal is then transmitted from the KS to the ECU. In response, the control unit retards spark timing to prevent engine knocking.
trying to figure out whats wrong..
had head all re done , new valves, seals, springs, etc.. neways got it all back together. when i try n start it, it backfires..
only thing i know thats not on is the knock sensor. i didnt think itd matter right now..
Only other thing i can think of is that when i set the timing that i have the TDC set on the exaust stroke not the intake stroke? what do u guys think?
Going to check the disp cap tomorrow. make sure the lil rotor isnt broke or nething, let me know thanks
