I am curious to know how much power stock B16 sleeves can typically hold. I will be running a Full-Race stage 2 kit and wanting to know how much the stock sleeves will hold

 

id be more worried about ur pistons and rods exploding b4 the sleeves would. stock sleeves arent all that bad, bad tuners kill sleeves. id say anything around or under 500 should be fine if properly tuned

 

rods are good up to 300whp or so....dont know how many times you could go to 300 whp for reliablity issues.....

i just said rods because i dont want you to get confused with the 500 number stated above....500 for sleeves is what he means....but i am unsure of that

 

Yeah, i will for sure get new pistons and rods. I was just wondering if sleeves were needed for maybe around 450whp. Thats all i would ever need really. Thanks for the info

 

I have seen b16a turbo stock motor running around 400whp. Safely. I guy here in salt lake has a custom kit that he installs and tunes and makes about 400whp on stock b16.
