Default Best Pistons

im trying to figure out what the best setup for a gsr engine for my civic and im having trouble finding stuff and im not really worried about cost that much so any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

um is this for N/A or F/I application? cuz it would be quite different depending on type of setup... and well some people just have brands they stick to also

I ran ROSS pistons. They were said to be proven to be able to handle 1000 whp. I put 450 to them and there was no problem. Others to consider: CP, JE, Arias, Weisco, and I'm sure there are others.

i dont really plan on turboing it at the moment

You need to decide though. If you want to turbo in the future, consider getting lower compression pistons to accomodate the turbo. I ran 9.5:1 pistons N/A for about a year before I boosted. You'll lose power, but it's easier and cheaper to get what you need the first time over buying something different down the road and then having to pull your motor apart again.

I'm running wiseco's and like them so far.. they are lighter then je's and come coated..

higher compression can be turbod and make the same horsepower, it just means you use less boost to make it and is more tuning-sensitive so to speak.. people just go w/ lower compression pistons and run higher boost #s because it can be safer if its not tuned well.
