Default Del Sol trunk struts...

Does anyone know if you need special tools to change out the trunk struts on the Sol? I have the new struts and everything and I am having a hard time getting the little ball attachment off the old ones to put on the new ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

if your talking about the lower bolt they can be a pain to take out. I neded up having to take the lower arm off my car still attached to the strut, then take a punch with it in the vice and hit it with a 3lb hammer many times....

are there stronger struts? I have a "wing" and it is too heavy for the factory worn out ones. Where can I get these? Pep boys? Autozone? Orielleys?
