Hey Guys,
I unfortunately have a automatic transmission that I would like to get rid of, as its really holding me back from further boosting my performance. Here is a quick description so you guys know what i am working with...

1997 Honda Civic EX 2dr
D16y8 1.6 SOHC Vtec (from a 2000 Civic EX)
Cold Air Intake
4-2-1 Headers
Cat-Back Exhaust
MSD Super-Conductor Wires

I have a few questions though that i thought you guys could help me with....
- How much does this job normaly go for at a shop ?
- Is it worth the money as far as performance gains ?
- Is it reliable, or would i be better off buyin another car? (not really possible)
- If it is easy for a novice to do, then what parts are needed ?
- Are there any other suggestions ????
