just in case anyone was wondering:

the back exhaust section of a 00 Si will bolt-up directly to the back exhaust section of a 96 DX sedan.
Not sure on the terminology but the section nearest the passenger rear tire.

My girl got tired of hear 'loud' exhaust so I put my OEM exhaust on hers. She had some cheap muffler I bought back in the day....don't remember the brand name.

Anywho, thought I'd pass this along

All the rear section exhausts from the 92-00 coupes and sedans are interchangeable

I had the 99-00 SI on my car before and now I have a 5zigen fireball axleback that was from a 00 EX

It sounds kind of raspy in the morning, but sounds good after my car warms up. I don't know why. Physics

I would take a N1 or WS over it any day though

From all the people I've talked to that spent any time in Japan, 5Zigen is like their APC... I thought it strange, but since I've never owned one of their mufflers, I'd assume it's like any other that does that. The baffles are crappy and stop buzzing when they expand and can't move...

Yeah it's not the best exaust out there, but I do like the way it looks, and the price was right because I picked it up used.

My dream exhaust is the RSR Invidia

also if youre curious

coupe axle back != hatch axleback by about 9" (most of us know the signifigance of "9 inches ", but crucial wont)

anyway, that was a sad state when that muffler came mis ordered.

the cat->axle is mostly swappable at least with A'Pexi though, just the mufflers are different.

I've had my Fireball for almost a year... the sound isn't as bad as the coffee cans I hear around here.

The sound is pretty whiney when the motor is cold, but like EG8 said, it sounds better later.

The looks, I liked the N1- touring car look, but I'm tired of scraping like a mofo... looking to upgrade again...
