i was woundering if i swapp out my 94 dx ecu for another dx ecu will the check engine light come on? im thinking about chipping the new ecu will that cause the check engine light to come on also? i dont want a check engine light. anyone that has chipped their ecu before i could use your help. thanx

 

If you have a check engine light it will come on even if you put in a new ECU. Find out which code you have.

 

but yea what if i dont have a check engine light, I just want to chipp another ecu and put it in my car which is running perfect. i just want to know if i do that will it throw a check engine light?

 

I dont believe so

 

As long as you use the same ECU for that car/motor, it shouldnt throw any codes.
