Knocking sound from front end
There's been a knocking sound from the front engine bay area for a while now.. I took it to the shop and they they found the CV boots and tie rods were busted.. I just replaced both tie rods, both drive shafts so everything's been replaced. But there's still a knocking noise that I heard from before..
The only difference now is that when I turn, there's no clicking noise, that noise was from the busted driveshaft most likely
The shop couldn't diagnose the problem, they checked the engine bay for any loose parts but everything's been tightened..
Again it sounds like a Knocking, coming from the driverside if that narrows it down. And this knocking noise sounds when I accelerate the car, and while turning sometimes. Anyone have any feedback on this, I did a search and it threads all said CV boots but I just replaced it so.. it can't be it.

Go to your left front tire and pull back and forth on the steering knuckle. If it moves, it's definitely your upper ball joint. The steering knuckle is that piece of metal next to the shock spring that bolts to the upper control arm via the upper ball joint. I had the same issue. Easily replaced.
I'm having a similar problem with my '97 Civic. I replaced both front axles, and now I'm getting a knocking sound only when I accelerate. I'm at the point where I'm about ready to just replace the axles again and see if that takes care of it. Tie-rods, ball joints, etc. are all tight. Possibly motor mounts? It will knock even with me easing onto the gas. Let me know if you figure something out...
