Default changing drums to disc

I'm planning to change my wife's rear drum brakes into disk brakes. I have a pair of dc rear trailing arms with disk brakes & steel braded brakes lines , when i change this , do i have to change the proportion valve , by the way my wife's car is a 00 ex coupe

you could use the proportioning valve from a 99-00 civic si, direct bolt-on and dont have to rebend the hard lines

you don't have to replace the prop vavle for it to work, but brake distribution will be a little better if you do replace it. Honestly, the difference will be hard to notice except under simultaneous hard braking and cornering. Any vavle marked 4040 (crx si, 2nd/3rd gen integra, some Del Slo, EXs and Si) will do the trick.

you dont need to change the prop valve what so ever...search for the article on here or honda-tech about the design and implication of the prop valves...you will not need to replace it, your drum one will work just fine.
