What is the biggest wheel radius...
i can put onto a 97 honda civic coupe without having to drop it or make any modifications to the suspension system of the car?
I heard that mounting 16 inch wheels and/or bigger one has to drop the car in order not to damage the suspension system...is this true?
thanks!

You can put any size wheel you want granted the wheel well would allow it. As for lowering the car... Not really necessary, but I do find adding a bigger wheel/tire setup looks kinda funny without a drop.
If you want to add a larger wheel/tire setup than stock but still want to have a near stock ride characteristics, I'd recommend a 16x7" wheel with a +40mm offset mated with 205/45/16 tires.

And it's not radius it's diameter unless you like 1/2 a wheel

Any wheel heavier than stock will negatively affect suspension components, brakes, and wheel bearings.

no. But it/should wear out those pieces quicker than if you ran a stock setup. But stock is boring.
