i have a 93 civic that shacks horribly in 1st gear. i just bought the car so i don't know that much about it. i was wondering if anyone knows what this could be. it dosen't do it in any other gear except if you let off the gas it jumps and then when you get back on the gas it jumps again.

motor mount or half shaft........grab ahold of your motor and shake back and forth. there are a total of five mounts. find the weak one

half shaft......grab your half shaft and lift up and down...if any play....replace.
