Default Need Some Serious Clutch Help

Ive got a ek hatch with an si swap. My question is when my clutch is disengaged (i press down on the pedal) sometimes it is more difficult then other times to press down. When the engine is cool, i seem to have to apply the normal amount of pressure. When the engine is warm, or if i beat on it a little, the clutch becomes more difficult to press down. It feels as if the pedal is dragging on the way down. There is no noise or slippage coming from the clutch, everything is fine other then the unsteady pedal pressure (its not from bleading the brakes either i tried). Please let me know whats going on. Maybee it is normal, im just not shure.

I would put $10 that one of your little springs is about to fall out of your clutch.

Its a very common problem with OEM discs.

the 4 springs have little tabs on each side that hold them in. the tabs wear out from the heat cycling and eventually one side will get loose. This results in the little spring being able to move in and out a bit.

I'm not sure how it causes the clutch to feel catchy, but it definately does. I've had 2 of my own clutches do it and know of a few others
