Default iac problems

i cant seen to get rid of my idle air controll valve problems i know its common on a ton of hondas im wondering if anyone has a solution to my surging idle im pretty sure its mechanical ive double checked my a/f maps and so on to make sure its not in the tune somewhere ive rebuilt the valve a few times the first time i carefully screwed the plastic plug back into place it worked for a while but now its actin up again even after a coolant flush and the plug is still in place im running a mixture of coolant its 20% glycol about 5 oz per gallon watter wetter and the rest water thanks for any suggestions

have you check the fast idle thermo valve?

Are you sure your ECU is from THAT car? If you have a 5-speed car with an ECU from an automatic, you would have that problem. There's a thread on it. You'd have to remove RP17 and RP18 from the ECU. I did that, and the up and down idle VANISHED! Good luck. In addition to that, I cleaned the heck out of the IACV with carb cleaner. It looked like the bottom screen of a pipe before I cleaned it.
