Piston+cylinder wall=Bad.
Is it bad if there is a silver dollar sized hole in the block of your motor? Apparently I developed one tonight... and there was a puddle of oil... and bad noises. My civic died. I need a transplant for it! Any donors? or anyone with a d16y8 laying around that they want to offer up for my baby?
Pics might be coming soon, I dont know.

Man.... I'm sorry you're going through that. My D16z just died. Got my hands on a y8 with tranny, 51,000 miles for $500. If I come across any deals, I'll let you know. I'm in Cali, but anything's possible.

low on oil. I still havent torn it down, but I think a rod snapped and a piston manaegd to smack the cylinder wall at about 5000 rpms, causing a hole in the block? Just my guess though.

most likely a rod snapped and shot against the block wall.
